I am a conceptual artist, curator, writer and producer. Originally from New York City, my background includes art, music, theatre, film, design and production. Throughout my career in NY, Dublin and London I have worked with international creative legends, political, cultural and faith leaders, local heroes and my family. My practice as a curator, artistic director and producer has included large scale, interdisciplinary live events, film festivals, arts and environment festivals, theatrical Christmas parades, experimental research and development arts programming and public art. Within the commercial creative industries my work has included concepts and designs for store wide promotions, window displays, roadshows, press and PR. I have been a Company Director of the VGroup of companies providing comprehensive creative and production services to the arts, entertainment and promotions industry worldwide. I have been the artistic director of Haring Woods Studio since 1996, originating and producing cultural initiatives primarily in and about common spaces and the public realm. I have been commissioned by landmark venues, local authorities, property developers, Arts Council England, international brands, the media and the United Nations Environment Programme.  My work, in collaboration with interdisciplinary creative teams and as an independent artist has been shown in retail and leisure venues, parks and open spaces, in promotional literature and websites.

 

As a cultural entrepreneur I have commissioned international artists across all disciplines to develop experimental works and large scale events. As Artistic Director for all Haring Woods projects, I have originated new cultural activities primarily about arts and environment and public realm initiatives.

 

Career highlights include: Broadway shows, New York Film Festivals, London Film Festivals, Museum of the Moving Image (London), Regent Street Christmas Lights, London's Grand Christmas Parade, Covent Garden Flower Festival, 10 years consulting with the City of Westminster, the Seven Dials Festival, Artistic Director of Gunpowder Park (UK), The Art of Common Space and Bright Sparks R&D. I have been an active member of business, community and arts associations  in New York and London including the Regent Street Association, Vice Chair, Covent Garden Business Forum; Royal Opera House Business Liaison,  Trustee, Covent Garden Area Trust; Global Steering Committee Interdependence Movement; Chair, Landscape&Arts Network; I am  a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.Executive Director / Artist in Residence for the Global Parliament of Mayors project.
